On the 20th of June – the Big market in Latgale at the castle hill of Ludza

Come and enjoy the children’s and adult groups concert. Find out how valuable are grasslands in the school of nature, weave a beautiful Midsummer wreath, go and see animals in a farm house, Participate in a variety of craft workshops. Children can take part in games and competitions, moms can visit the beauty school, real men will be able to express themselves in the fight against serious and frivolous.
Enjoy the demonstration of sword fighting, horse riding, photographing in ancient costumes and the performance of the Brotherhood «Kroma kolna». In conclusion, we all together will turn to the ancient morning Solstice and will light up the Midsummer fire!
Programme:
12.00 – opening of the event, children’s dance groups perfomances: DG of Ludza Musical basic school “Atvasītes” and CYC of Ludza region “Žeperi”.
13.00 – folklore group of Ludza “Dzeipori”
14.00 and 15.00 the group of Pilda: Brass Band “Pilda”, Children’s dance group “Ritms”, dance group “Soli pa solim”.
16.00 – dance group from Ludza “Atvasara”, “Reizē”
16.30 – competition for true men.
17.00 – folk group from Nuksi “Rīkšova”.
18.00 – folk group from Medneva (District of Vilaka) “Egle”
18.30 – fun competitions for men.
19.00 – 19.30 – staging of Brotherhood “Kroma kolna”
19.30 – lightening up of the fire and Sunny morning meeting under the guidance of folk group ”Egle”.
Throughout the day, the nature school, school of wreaths and herbs, farmhouse, children’s workshops with masters and games, cosmetics school for moms, painting children’s faces, horseback riding, photography.
